The New Farmers Market
A new, open-air farmers market has arrived at Upper Merion Township. The market welcomes consumers every Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm beginning May 15, 2010, and will remain open until Thanksgiving. The farmers market is located at the Upper Merion Township Building on Valley Forge Road in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
Demand for the community farmers market is significant. In a recent survey, 99% of the nearly 700 individuals who responded said they would support the creation of a farmers market in Upper Merion. Respondents expressed particular interest in buying locally-produced fruits and vegetables, meats and cheeses, baked goods, and bedding plants.
The Upper Merion Farmers Market Committee seeks additional local producers and vendors who can offer high-quality products of interest to the community.
