The chief of police heads a full-time, 64-officer police department that serves Upper Merion Township. Assisting the chief is:
- One captain
- Three lieutenants
- Eight sergeants
- Four corporals
- 10 detectives
- Two juvenile officers
- 39 patrol officers
The department also has a civilian staff that includes one evidence technician, three special officers, eight telecommunicators, a compliment of school crossing guards, a records division, and a secretarial staff.
