Antiques & Collectibles

Price It! allows the user to identify, research and price art, antiques and collectibles. It provides integrated information solutions to businesses and individuals allowing user to just type in key words for the item being valued. Prices are based on actual sales from several reliable sources, namely, eBay, professional antique dealers and antique auction houses.

Art

Grove Art provides access to the complete text of the 34-volume Dictionary of Art. Newly-commissioned articles and links to images from galleries and museums from around the world are included.

Auto Repair

Auto Repair Reference Center - Supplied by Point 5 Technologies with complete automotive repair information supplied by Nichols Publishing, publisher of hilton© information. Most major manufacturers of domestic and imported vehicles are listed. Repair information is available for most manufacturers as far back as 1954.

Biography

AP Multimedia Archive has over 500,000 current and historical photographs and graphics searchable by date, place and subject.
Biography Reference Bank links to biographical articles on over 470,000 individuals. Full text articles, abstracts and photographs are available from periodicals, feature articles, interviews, essays, performance reviews, speeches and obituaries.
Contemporary Authors (Thomson Gale) is a guide to current writers of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, journalism, drama, motion pictures and television. Biographies of these authors are included.

Business

Business Searching Interface (BSI) is EBSCO's highly focused user interface created especially for the business searcher. BSI provides an easy way to both browse and search for country economic data, company profiles, industry information and market research.
Business Source Premier provides full text articles from general business magazines, trade publications, business journals and business publications with an international scope. Some titles start as far back as 1985 and more than 200 journals have PDF full text materials back to 1965 or first issue published. Over 10,000 company profiles are included. Topics include accounting, management, marketing, economics, finance, international business and more.
Regional Business News provides comprehensive full text coverage for regional business publications. Regional Business News incorporates coverage of 75 business journals, newspapers and newswires from all metropolitan and rural areas within the United States.

Facts for Learning elementary school level teaches students how to ask questions, use resources, understand indexes, choose topics, search online and read charts and graphs. The Middle school module provides content designed for students able to use a more sophisticated format.
Kids Search (K-5) is designed for students in grades K - 5. It provides elementary school students with an easy-to-use, graphically-appealing interface they can use to search their EBSCO databases. The interface facilitates searching by topic, enabling users to easily enter keywords, or select topics or subtopics to search, from the Basic Search screen.
Searchasaurus, suggested for children, includes an encyclopedia, an encyclopedia of animals, magazine searches for primary and middle school grade levels, a dictionary, photos, maps and flags. A good homework resource.
Middle Search Plus - Middle and Junior High School information from more than 150 popular magazines. Articles are assigned a Lexile (reading level) indicator.
NoveList K-8 - Fiction read-alikes for K-8. Has full text reviews and book talks for selected titles.
Primary Search is an elementary school resource with information from more than 60 magazines from as far back as 1990. Articles are assigned a Lexile (reading level) indicator.
SIRS Discoverer includes articles and images from over 1,600 domestic and international newspapers, magazines and government documents. Articles are assigned a reading level -Easy, Moderate or Challenging- based on age-appropriateness, educational content, interest and reading level. This database is an excellent student resource.

ERIC (Educational Resource Information Center) provides full text of 2,200 digests in addition to citations and abstracts from over 980 education or education-related journals.
LISTA (Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts) has information on subjects such as librarianship, classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management and more. LISTA indexes more than 600 periodicals plus books, research reports and proceedings
Professional Development Collection is designed for professional educators, 550 full text journals are included in the collection.
Teacher Reference Center (TRC) - This index contains over 260 titles from the most popular teacher and administrator trade journals, periodicals and books. This database provides coverage on key education topics such as Assessment, Continuing Education, Current Pedagogical Research, Curriculum Development, Instructional Media, Language Arts, Literacy Standards, Science & Mathematics and more.

Student Research Center (6-12) - EBSCO search designed for students in grades 6 through 12. Provides the most appropriate research tools to easily obtain the information that students need from their EBSCO databases. Students can easily pre-determine which content sources (e.g., Magazines, Newspapers, Biographies, Country Reports, Film & Video) will be included with their search. They can also search their databases by topic heading, make use of an online dictionary and encyclopedia, explore the top searches of the day, and limit their search according to appropriate Lexile reading levels.

Legal Forms

Legal Forms (Thomson Gale) contains over 1000 standard legal forms specific to Pennsylvania in Microsoft Word and PDF formats. Most forms can be completed online before being printed. Grove Music Online provides access to the complete text of the 29-volume New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians and the New Grove Dictionaries of Opera and Jazz. Links are available to musical sites on the Internet; some examples use Sibelius (music notation software.)

DartClix - (Brodart Automation) Over 18,000 professionally selected and cataloged, high-quality websites designed to enhance curriculum support in schools and patron research in public and academic libraries. The DartClix records containing multiple fields are loaded into the Access PA Database where they may be searched, and then link users to the websites.
