A 'Zine is a self-published, non-commercial publication. People make them for a variety of reasons and with a variety of themes. They come in all kinds of shapes and sizes and are often photocopied, and may be swapped by their creators or the 'zines of other 'zinesters.

The 'Zines created in the Summer 'Zine Machine will be the original design, creation and production off the artists involved in the project. They will pick the theme, create the artwork, write the entries, and collect the applause!

REGISTRATION: Register at the library (at the Reference Desk), by calling 610-265-4805, or by sending your name, e-mail address, and phone number to maud@mclinc.org.

ARTISTIC PROJECTS: This year we're inviting the audience in! Projects will be focused on creating puzzles, ripe for solving, tessellations to perplex the brain; and other mind-bending and engaging creations!

WRITING PROJECTS: As the artists produce intellectual challenges of the visual variety, writers will produce equally mesmerizing linguistic works.

ARTISTS RECEPTION: At the Artists' Reception, contributors will receive the print 'Zine and have the opportunity to show off their work to friends and family.
