
The Assistant Township Manager is a vital position within the Township’s Administration. The Assistant Township Manager is responsible for performing all the responsibilities for the Township Manager when the Township Manager is absent or not available. On a daily basis, the Assistant Township Manager serves as the lead Grant Writer for the township, and directly supervises the departments of Parks & Recreation, Library, Public Information and Information Technology.
Sally began her career with the township in 2007 as a Management Intern working in the office of the Township Manager, while pursuing her Masters of Public Administration degree from Villanova University. She returned in 2014, when she was hired as the Assistant Township Manager. Slook has over twenty years’ experience working in both the private and public sectors, with the last ten years working in local government. Her previous roles include both Assistant Township Manager and Township Manager positions in the Philadelphia area. Since 2014, she also serves as an Adjunct Faculty member at Villanova University in the Masters of Public Administration department, where she teaches Economic Development and Land Use and Zoning.
