Lose Weight + Exercise More
Throughout the year, the Library partners with the Community Center to offer free fitness classes, like Vinyasa Yoga and Cardio Spinning. Check the online calendar to find the next fitness class. Additionally, you can always check out exercise DVDs and healthy cookbooks – just browse the catalog!
Learn a New Skill
The Library has a wide variety of classes and workshops where you can learn a new hobby or skill. Browse the online event calendar to find art classes, knitting workshops, and more.
Spend More Time with Family
- Reserve a free museum and attraction pass for family activities and day trips.
- Stop by a Family Game Night to play board games, card games, and video games with friends and family.
As part of the Family Place Library initiative, children ages 1-3 and their parents/caregivers are invited to attend Parent Child Workshops, where child development specialists will be on hand to answer questions about a number of topics including early literacy, nutrition, music and play, language, and more.

Live a Less Stressful Life
The Library offers various workshops to help you minimize or eliminate stress in your life. Some classes include Mindfulness for Moms, Stress Management Strategies for Adults, De-Stress Series for Adults, Breathe Your Stress Out, and more. Manage Your Finances
Sign up for the Library’s Finance Management Series, which covers topics like taxes, business succession, charitable giving and legacy planning, and more. You can also explore the Library’s Tax Forms and Assistance page for more resources and information.
Learn How to Use New Technology
If you own new technology, like smartphones or tablets, the Library’s youth volunteers can teach you how to use them at the monthly Tech Nights. The Library also hosts Computer Lab Workshops covering a variety of topics, like using Microsoft Word and accessing the Library’s many online resources.
Of course the Library has a bunch of ways to help you hit your goal of reading more books! Win exciting prizes for accomplishing your reading goals by signing up for the Winter Reading Program for Teens and Adults, participate in the Spring Book Discussion Series, or just read independently by checking out books at the Library or eBooks with OverDrive.
