With all the closures and uncertainty right now, we want to assure you of a little good news. Upper Merion Township Library will be holding its Summer Reading Program. We hope to see you in the library soon but even if that can’t happen, we have a virtual Summer Reading Program ready to launch.
Our 2020 Summer Reading Program theme is Imagine Your Story. We have separate programs for students entering K-4th and 5-8th grades. We also offer a 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program for preK kids and Teen and Adult Summer Reading Programs as well. Check out our Summer Reading Information Page for more details.
Our Goal? To get the entire community reading. We are offering food coupons, prizes, reading medals and exciting prize raffles to students who participate and reach specific goals. Participants register, read whatever interests them, and report back the amount of time they spend reading. As it becomes safe to do so, the library will add additional summer programming including enriching classes, fun activities, challenges, contests, prizes and much more. Sign up for our Children’s Department E-Newsletter or check our Facebook page so you don’t miss out.
We never imagined our library story would include being closed for an extensive time and offering virtual programs. What will your story be? Come and explore books that spark your imagination, open your mind and give you the skills and tools needed to face whatever challenges await you. The only element missing from the library’s summer story is you.
Sign up today at www.umtlreads.org and start reading beginning June 15th–August 21st. Happy reading!
