Comprehensive Annual Financial Report
On an annual basis, the township issues a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). The CAFR is a financial report that contains the audited financial statements as well as other demographic and statistical information of Upper Merion Township. The report is prepared by the township’s Finance Department, which is responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and fairness of the data presented. For any additional information on the CAFR, please contact the township’s finance director at 610-265-2600.
Auditing
Each year the township is audited by independent certified public accountants. The various reports that they prepare are available as PDF documents below. Their main report is also contained in the financial section of the CAFR.
However, the Pennsylvania Second Class Township Code requires that elections be held periodically to fill positions for three elected auditors, whose primary function is to meet annually and determine the compensation for the current year’s township supervisors employed by the township.
