Consortium invites you to expand your craft, express yourself, your talents, and your creativity in a diverse and inclusive environment! This year you can choose from the following majors: Musical Theater, Band/Orchestra, and Art.
Consortium is open to all students entering grades 4-12 (this includes 2021 graduates). This summer’s program will take place at the Upper Merion Area High School. All participants will need to provide their own transportation. Please send your child with a snack and water bottle. Snacks will not be available for purchase.
Consortium will take place June 22-July 31, Monday-Friday from 8:15am-12:30pm or for extended day 8:15am-3pm. No Camp Monday, July 5th.
Consortium provides opportunities for students to have instruction from professionals in each of their fields. Each student will have an opportunity to display their craft at the end of camp.
Musical Theater Majors will perform in this summer’s performance Broadway Through the Years: A Musical Revue. Performances will take place July 28th and 29th.
Art Majors will display their masterpieces at the end-of-season art show that will take place before the musical theater performance. Art Show will take place July 28th and July 29th.
Band/Orchestra Majors will display their skills at a preshow performance the nights of the musical theater production. Performances will take place July 28th and 29th.
For Main Stage Musical Theater, students will audition for parts/roles in the show. Everyone will be cast.
All students will stay in their chosen major throughout camp. Fridays will be reserved for students to participate in a class that is not their major.
We are offering an extended day option in which students will be able to work with other camp staff and learn the ins and outs of different Consortium classes that they may not get into during half-day option. Extended day hours will be cancelled if a minimum of 25 campers is not met.
